Graham Sate was convicted of the murder of his girlfriend's daughter Lauren Creed 5.
He kicked and stamped on her splitting her liver in two.
When a pathologisst examined her body, Lauren Creed was found to have 167 fresh bruises or abrasions as well as other older injuries.
A neighbour had become so concerned about her condition that she taped her saying 'Daddy punched me in the belly today. Slapped me. Punched me.'.
He had a previous conviction for attempted murder for which he was sentenced to seven years which he recieved on 30 July 1993 when he was 19-years old. He had been released on licence in December 1996.
